getting my feet wet...

in more ways than one! i *created* this blog several weeks ago, but have yet to post. mostly because i don't like my header. i don't like my font choices. silly? maybe, but it makes me feel uninspired and that just won't do for my blog! however, i have decided to proceed anyways. i will work on the aesthetics as i go!

we recently took our children, 5 and 2, to the ocean for their first time! it was so wondrous and serene!

here is what we saw each day we walked to the beach.

really, who can resist this face? i love how all that blue makes those big eyes pop!

my little mermaid.

sunrise in the ocean.

those most freckles yet! i love every one. i have watched them emerge one by one. this trip was the explosion! (you can click on the pic to make it bigger) jasper has his first one now.

isn't he cute? isn't the ocean the greatest backdrop for any picture?

it was hard to pick a photo from this sunrise series. i couldn't resist the sleepy time look in this one. sienna LOVED waking at dark to go to the beach for sunrise. she insisted we do it two days in a row!

clementines could be our mascot for this trip. the kids would devour them. countless clementines were consumed!

we had a couple of great low tide days that were perfect for beach and tide pool play.

our first drip castle. thanks for the tips nif! ;)

so there you have it....my first post. now to do something about that header.....
